Of YouScan's 125 reviews on Software Advice, 18 mention its image or logo recognition. The other 107 never bring it up.
I think that split decides your replacement. YouScan Starter costs $499 a month billed annually and covers 3 text topics. Logo and image collection sits in the Unlimited plans, and those carry no public price, so you learn the real cost after a demo. Once you sign, YouScan's terms make fees non-refundable and bar a move to fewer topics.
Decide whether your brief needs logo search before you compare prices. If it doesn't, you're replacing a $499 text plan, and I'd point you to a text tool first. If it does, every rival below starts with a sales call, and the contract you sign matters more than the feature list.
TL;DR: 6 YouScan Alternatives, Split by Text and Logo#
Two questions sort these 6 tools. Does your brief need a logo found in a photo? And how do you want to leave the contract?
No logo search needed:
CommunityTracker.ai: replaces the $499 text Starter for teams that track buyers and complaints in communities. Free, then $39, $99 or $199 a month, billed monthly. It reads text only.
Logo search needed:
Brandwatch: for research teams that want image analysis next to an archive back to 2008. Quote only, and an account manager switches the image module on.
Lumen by Talkwalker: for global brands that measure sponsorship logos. Quote only, unlimited users.
Pulsar: for insight teams that want logos, video transcripts and audience segments in one search. TRAC starts at a $1,200 package for 150,000 mentions.
Meltwater: for PR teams that want logo detection in the same account as press coverage. Quote only, with logos in the Explore+ layer.
Sprinklr: for enterprises that run care, publishing and visual listening on one contract. Quote only.
YouScan Alternatives Compared#
Features#
Tool | Text listening | Logo or image recognition | Public price | Free plan | Monthly billing |
YouScan | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
CommunityTracker.ai | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Brandwatch | Yes | Yes | No | No | No |
Lumen by Talkwalker | Yes | Yes | No | No | No |
Pulsar | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
Meltwater | Yes | Yes | No | No | No |
Sprinklr | Yes | Yes | No | No | No |
A "Yes" for YouScan logo search means the Unlimited plans, since the public price covers Starter only. Brandwatch's logo filter needs an image module, and Meltwater's logo detection sits in Explore+. Pulsar's public price is the TRAC starter package on TrustRadius.
Pricing#
Tool | Public price | Monthly billing | Logo search at the public price | Cancel anytime | Renewal notice period published |
YouScan | Yes | No | No | No | No |
CommunityTracker.ai | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | No |
Brandwatch | No | Not published | No | Not published | Not published |

Pulsar | Yes | Not published | Not published | No | Yes |
Meltwater | No | Not published | No | Not published | Not published |
Sprinklr | No | Not published | No | No | Not published |
Here's what those cells cost you. YouScan Starter costs $499 a month billed annually, CommunityTracker runs $0, $39, $99 and $199 a month, and Pulsar's TRAC starter package costs $1,200 for 150,000 mentions. CommunityTracker, YouScan Starter and Pulsar's TRAC package show a number before a call; only CommunityTracker publishes monthly billing. CommunityTracker needs no renewal notice because it has no term to renew. Pulsar asks for 90 days. Every other logo option starts with a sales conversation, so I'd budget time for procurement before you budget money.
To see how much of your YouScan feed is text you could cover for less, open a free CommunityTracker.ai plan (https://www.communitytracker.ai/pricing), add your brand as the one keyword, and compare the two feeds for two weeks before your YouScan renewal notice arrives.
Why Teams Look Past YouScan#
I think YouScan's product holds up: the 4.9 rating stands, and the complaints sit inside 4 and 5 star reviews. Teams look elsewhere because the price you see and the product you want can be two different plans.
What the ratings show#
YouScan holds 4.9 from 125 reviews on Software Advice, with 109 five-star and 16 four-star ratings, and 3.6 from 12 on Trustpilot.

Source: Software Advice YouScan reviews, 4.9 with 125 reviews counted from the rating breakdown, captured Oct 16, 2026

Source: Trustpilot YouScan reviews, captured Oct 16, 2026
No Software Advice reviewer went below 4 stars, so I read that rating as proof that weekly users like the product, not that the plan fits your brief. Valdir U. gave 4 stars and still wrote that the topic cap forced his agency to merge projects.
Check the age of the pool too: 26 of the 125 reviews date from 2026 and 36 from 2025, while 35 come from 2023 and 25 from 2022 or earlier. I weigh the 2026 group first, because Starter's limits changed inside that window.
What one plan buys#
Here is how YouScan sells today:
Starter: $499 a month billed annually, $5,988 a year. 3 topics written as text search queries, up to 15,000 mentions a month, 1 integration across Slack, Teams or WhatsApp, 10 Insights Copilot questions a month, 1 custom dashboard and unlimited users.
Unlimited plans: demo request. These add collection based on image contents such as logos, Visual Insights and Audience Insights.
Visual Insights setup: YouScan's own guide, updated Jul 13, 2026, tells you to add text recognition only if your account has it, and to add logos only if logo recognition is on.

Source: YouScan pricing page in USD, captured Oct 16, 2026

Source: YouScan help article on creating a monitoring topic, captured Oct 16, 2026
So the $499 figure buys text listening. If you came to YouScan for logos, your real price is a quote.
What the terms do#
I read YouScan's Terms of Service, effective Sep 30, 2026:
Section 6.1: payment obligations can't be cancelled, and fees are non-refundable.
Section 5.2.13: you get no prorated refund if you stop using the service.
Downgrades: the terms bar a move to fewer topics.
Section 6.5: the agreement renews for a term of the same length after YouScan sends notice, and use past the end of the term counts as consent.
Overcount topics on day 1 and you pay for the extra ones for the full term. I'd size topics from last quarter's actual queries. I found no 2026 review that reports a renewal dispute, so the terms bind on paper and no 2026 buyer reports a fight over them.
Stories from YouScan users#
The agency out of queries. Valdir U., a COO at a market research firm, wrote that "The number of queries (in all plans) is very limited", so his team folds several projects into one query (Capterra, Jun 22, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).

Source: [Capterra review of YouScan by Valdir U., Jun 22, 2026, captured Oct 21, 2026](https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)
The Starter user who lost half the cap. Francisco M., an account manager, wrote that Starter "used to hace 10.000 and suddenly they changed it to 5.000" mentions per topic (Capterra, May 11, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).

Source: [Capterra review of YouScan by Francisco M., May 11, 2026, captured Oct 21, 2026](https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)
The video logo gap. Valentina R., in consumer goods marketing, likes tracking her brand's logo, and dislikes that YouScan reads the logo on a video's cover and not through the whole video (Capterra, Jun 9, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The OCR noise. Lubica J., in consumer goods market intelligence, finds Visual Insights "too sensitive when reading the OCR", which fills her feed with noise (Capterra, Mar 18, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The simple logo. Jack F., a research consultant, found that a logo with a simple shape can match unrelated images, so his team spends time cleaning the search (Capterra, May 11, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The crisis clock. Laura P., an intelligence coordinator at an agency, writes that collection can take up to 1 day, too slow during a crisis (Capterra, Aug 5, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The add-on maze. Eva A., a social media analyst, finds that key functions come as add-ons, so the plan can feel limited (Capterra, Apr 23, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The small research shop. Tomas C., CEO of a research firm, praises the source coverage and still flags that pricing "can also be a consideration for smaller teams" (Capterra, Jun 23, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The per-feature bill. Sage S., a social media strategy director, disliked that "YouScan charges per feature" (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Sep 17, 2025 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
Three of these complaints concern logo search itself, and all three come from people who still rate YouScan 4 or 5 stars, which is why I believe them. The cap change is the one I'd raise in a demo, because it touches the only plan with a public price.
What practitioners post on X#
I read a year of X posts that mention YouScan. Few come from buyers, so I sort them by who wrote them:
A marketer's view. Christine Alemany (@XineAlemany), a CMO and author, wrote on Aug 27, 2026 that "Most brand sentiment can't be found in text. It's in the photo." In the same thread she repeats YouScan's own figure that logo recognition can surface up to 80% more mentions than text-only monitoring. That figure belongs to the vendor, so I give it no weight.

Source: X post by @XineAlemany, Aug 27, 2026, captured Oct 16, 2026
An agency sighting. @ThePakuma, a B2B demand marketing manager, noted on Sep 10, 2026 that an agency behind a Sprout Social campaign in Europe used YouScan.
Rivals' framing. @Vibewatch_io (Aug 13, 2026) and @socialhose (Jun 19, 2026) compare themselves with YouScan. Both sell competing tools, so I read their posts as ads.
Outage reports. @statusisdown posted that YouScan was "reportedly down for some users" on Sep 29 and Oct 9, 2026. An automated account posts these, and neither post shows how many users were affected.
One practitioner backs the case for logo search, and nobody on X complains about price or terms. So I weigh the review pool above X.
Where YouScan Earns Credit#
Before you leave, count what you'd give up. Users credit YouScan in six places:
Logo work that clients ask for. Moa W.'s client brief required logo detection at sport events, and YouScan delivered on that spec (Capterra, Jun 17, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).

Source: [Capterra review of YouScan by Moa W., Jun 17, 2026, captured Oct 21, 2026](https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)
TikTok data. Jack F.'s research firm "originally subscribed to YouScan for its TikTok data" (Capterra, May 11, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
The visual module. Francisco M. rates the visual recognition module "very good" in the same review that faults the cap.
Images and AI together. Leoné V., an insights manager, credits "The ability to analyse images" and the TikTok integration for the quality of the team's output (Capterra, Nov 6, 2025 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
Regional reach. Shea F.'s team picked YouScan for sources in Central Asia, a region other tools covered poorly for them (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Aug 21, 2025 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
Support and reviews coverage. Ann S. calls support "top-notch" (Capterra, Apr 13, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)), Erik S.'s account manager built a custom rule to drop neutral ratings from his hotel reviews feed (Capterra, Apr 7, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)), and Julia C. monitors customer reviews across review platforms and chose YouScan over Lumen on price (Capterra, Aug 26, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/173036/YouScan/reviews/)).
Starter includes unlimited users. Lumen and Pulsar also offer unlimited users; Brandwatch, Meltwater and Sprinklr set users in the quote.
Logo detection lives outside Starter, so Moa W.'s and Leoné V.'s praise describes a quoted plan or a paid add-on. Read it as praise for the $499 plan and you'll price the wrong thing. The YouScan review (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/youscan-review) walks through each plan in more depth.
How I Evaluated These YouScan Alternatives#
Each of the 6 tools answered the same four questions:
Results: does the tool replace YouScan's text listening, its logo search, or both?
Features: logo or image recognition, video and audio, community coverage and unlimited users.
Pricing: whether you can see a price, how billing works, and the notice you owe to leave.
Problem solved: which YouScan complaint the tool removes: the topic cap, the quote for logos, or the no-downgrade rule.
CommunityTracker sits first because it's the cheaper fit when your answer to the logo question is "no", and its Free plan lets you test that answer before you spend anything. The five tools after it all read logos, and I rank them by how much of YouScan's visual work they cover and how hard they are to leave.
For reviews, I used Capterra, Software Advice, G2, Gartner Peer Insights, TrustRadius and Trustpilot. Any review older than 12 months carries an "older than 12 months" flag. Each rival below has 10 or more distinct reviewers with 5 or more on each side, and CommunityTracker has 0.
1. CommunityTracker.ai#
I rank CommunityTracker first because, for a text brief, Pro costs less than a fifth of YouScan Starter and you can leave at the end of any month. The trade: it reads text only, so it can't touch a logo brief. It covers who mentions your brand, your rivals or your category in Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News, GitHub and Slack communities.

Source: CommunityTracker.ai homepage, captured Oct 16, 2026
Features#
Keywords instead of topics: 1 on Free, 4 on Starter, 10 on Pro, 20 on Advanced. Ten keywords on Pro give more room than Starter's 3 topics, though a keyword is narrower than a full Boolean topic.
Mentions: 5,000 on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Advanced. YouScan Starter stops at 15,000 a month across its topics.
AI Scoring and Advanced AI Filtering (Pro): posts get scored for buying intent, so the threads where someone asks for a tool reach you first.
Share of Voice (Pro): your brand's mentions against a competitor's, by community.
Community AI (Pro): ask questions about your mentions in plain language, the closest match to Insights Copilot.
Response Generator (Starter onward): drafts a reply that you edit before posting.
Pricing#
I'd start on Free with your brand name, then move to Pro once you track rivals too.
Free: $0 for 1 keyword on Reddit.
Starter: $39 a month. 4 keywords, Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News and GitHub, 5,000 mentions.
Pro: $99 a month. 10 keywords, all communities, unlimited mentions, AI Scoring, Share of Voice, daily Slack alerts.
Advanced: $199 a month. 20 keywords, plus the Share of Voice Exporter and AI Visibility.
Paid plans bill monthly with no long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime on the pricing page (https://www.communitytracker.ai/pricing). A year of Pro costs $1,188. A year of YouScan Starter costs $5,988.

Source: CommunityTracker.ai pricing page, captured Oct 16, 2026
Trade-offs#
Pros:
A price you can see. You budget without a demo call.
No annual lock. YouScan's no-refund, no-downgrade terms don't apply.
Unlimited mentions on Pro, so a spike doesn't hit a cap mid-month.
Community coverage for Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub and Slack, where buyers ask for recommendations.
Cons:
No image or logo recognition. If a sponsor logo in a fan photo is part of your brief, CommunityTracker won't find it. Keep YouScan or pick one of the five tools below.
Partial news and web coverage.
Daily alerts on every plan, with Slack delivery from Pro.
No publishing or inbox. You read and reply in the community itself.
CommunityTracker has no reviews on review sites yet.
What users say#
CommunityTracker has no reviews on review sites yet, and I won't borrow other tools' reviews to fill this space. The Free plan is your evidence. Run it on one keyword for two weeks next to YouScan and count how many of the mentions you act on come from text posts. I'd trust that count over any rating, because it measures your brief.
Summary#
The pick for teams whose YouScan brief turns out to be text.
Pick it if your topics are your brand, rivals and category terms, and the posts you act on are written ones in communities.
Skip it if a client or sponsor pays you to find their logo in images or video.
2. Brandwatch#
I rank Brandwatch #2 because its image analysis detects logos, objects, scenes and actions inside the research product you'd use for text anyway, and it adds an archive back to 2008. What you give up: you buy through a quote, and the image module needs a request to your account manager, so your first quote may leave it out.
Features#
Image analysis in Consumer Research: detects logos, objects, scenes and actions in images.
Logo filter: you build a query that matches a logo, a keyword or both. Brandwatch's developer docs tell you to contact your account manager to turn the image module on, so treat it as a paid line item until your quote proves otherwise.
Archive: posts back to 2008, which helps when you need last year's sponsorship baseline.
Iris: an AI assistant that turns query results into summaries.
Custom classifiers: train the system to sort mentions your own way.

Source: Brandwatch Consumer Research page, captured Oct 16, 2026
Pricing#
Brandwatch sells every plan through a quote, and the quote sets your users. One Trustpilot buyer reported $12,000 a year for 3 users on a 2-year deal (Trustpilot, Dec 30, 2025). I treat that as one buyer's deal. The Brandwatch review (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/brandwatch-review) covers the plans in more depth.
Trade-offs#
Pros:
Logo, object and scene detection in one research tool.
An archive to 2008, so you can benchmark before and after a campaign.
Custom classifiers and Iris for sorting and summarizing large query sets.
Cons:
The image module needs a request, so your first quote may not include it.
A quote and a contract, the buying process you may be leaving YouScan to avoid.
Features priced one by one, a complaint that shows up in the reviews below.
What users say#
Brandwatch holds 4.2 from 255 reviews on Capterra, a count that includes Falcon.io reviews, and 2.0 from 21 on Trustpilot.
Liked:
The image analyst. Daniel A., a market intelligence analyst at an agency, writes that "The AI-powered image analysis is also a great addition" (Capterra, May 4, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The query builder. Flynn M., a sports marketing coordinator, rates custom queries and dashboards "a major strength" (Capterra, Apr 28, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The reporting producer. Monica M. sees all social performance "in one place with clear dashboards" (Capterra, Apr 28, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The archive user. Tanya S., in financial services, credits a flexible query builder and "excellent historical data" (Capterra, May 4, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The volume team. George L., a data and insights manager, values "large queries with no mention limits" (Capterra, Apr 28, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The chart builder. Kristen L., head of insights at a research firm, likes the variety of graphs and "comprehensive data" (Capterra, Apr 29, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
Disliked:
The buyer caught by renewal. Maddie's team "faced an issue with an auto-renewal" (Trustpilot, Jul 9, 2026 (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/brandwatch.com)).

Source: Trustpilot review of Brandwatch by Maddie, captured Oct 16, 2026
The feature-by-feature bill. BIeh writes "Lots of features, but each will cost you" (Trustpilot, Dec 30, 2025 (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/brandwatch.com)).
The sales call volume. Holly Weaver received sales calls 2 to 3 times a day (Trustpilot, Jan 31, 2026 (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/brandwatch.com)).
The premium price. Matisse D., in automotive comms, names cost as the one downside and a barrier for smaller teams (Capterra, May 8, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The sentiment groomer. Kristen L. spends labour correcting sentiment (Capterra, Apr 29, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The TikTok gap. George L. names the lack of TikTok integration as his largest issue (Capterra, Apr 28, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The researcher with a map problem. Aneri D. could only get a world map view and saw Iris cite the same mention across several insights (Capterra, May 4, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
The number checker. Jordan H., a retail social coordinator, found report figures that did not match in-platform data (Capterra, May 15, 2026 (https://www.capterra.com/p/277011/Brandwatch/reviews/)).
I believe the renewal and pricing complaints, because they come from separate buyers on Trustpilot and Capterra within a year. For logo buyers, Daniel A.'s image praise carries the most weight; if you came to YouScan for TikTok, George L.'s complaint does. Trustpilot also carries reviews about scam letters sent under the Brandwatch name, and I kept those out.
Summary#
The logo pick for research teams that want one archive for text and images.
Pick it if you need logos plus years of history, and your legal team will read the renewal clause.
Skip it if TikTok sits at the center of your brief, or you're leaving YouScan to get away from quotes and annual terms.
3. Lumen by Talkwalker#
I rank Lumen #3 because its image recognition targets sponsorship and trademark work, the kind of brief Moa W. bought YouScan for, and every plan carries unlimited users. The trade: you get a number only after a sales call, and every Capterra review predates the Lumen name. Hootsuite owns it and renamed Talkwalker to Lumen by Talkwalker in June 2026.
Features#
Image recognition: finds your logo in photos with no text mention, flags logo misuse, and counts visual mentions toward sponsorship impressions.
Logo setup: you configure the logos you track with Talkwalker first. Its logo detection API checks images against that set.
Unlimited users on Core, Analyze and Business.
Wisdom: peak detection and AI summaries for spikes.

Source: Lumen by Talkwalker image recognition page, captured Oct 16, 2026
Pricing#
Core, Analyze and Business sell by quote. Every plan includes unlimited users, onboarding, training and regional support. One 2026 Trustpilot reviewer reports a request for a 25% increase at renewal, so I'd write a renewal cap into the contract. The Talkwalker review (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/talkwalker-review) covers the plans before the sales call.
Trade-offs#
Pros:
Sponsorship use case built in, so a logo brief maps to a report.
Unlimited users, the same as YouScan Starter.
Logo misuse flags for trademark teams.
Cons:
Quote only, the same buying process as YouScan's Unlimited plans.
A renewal increase in a 2026 review.
Boolean training before queries work, a complaint that repeats in the reviews below.
Every Capterra review is older than 12 months.
What users say#
Lumen holds 4.4 from 24 reviews on Capterra and 8.1 from 45 ratings on TrustRadius.

Disliked:
The renewal letter. Findahobby reports a request for "a 25% price increase" (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026 (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/talkwalker.com)).
The same listening manager, on price. Karan R. calls the pricing module expensive next to rival packages (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Feb 3, 2025 (https://www.capterra.com/p/161487/Talkwalker/reviews/)).
The Instagram gap. Guido N. calls listening on Facebook and Instagram "very limited" because of API limits (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Dec 5, 2020 (https://www.capterra.com/p/161487/Talkwalker/reviews/)).

The report designer. namitha B. couldn't customize reports as desired (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Nov 28, 2019 (https://www.capterra.com/p/161487/Talkwalker/reviews/)).
The paid upgrade. Nicole G. found the paid option expensive for the change in features (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Feb 19, 2018 (https://www.capterra.com/p/161487/Talkwalker/reviews/)).
I take the price complaint seriously because it repeats from 2018 to 2026, and the only recent buyer view concerns price, not image recognition. The newest Capterra review dates from Feb 3, 2025, and no reviewer wrote under the Lumen name, so I'd ask for a reference customer on sponsorship work before you sign.
Summary#
The logo pick for sponsorship and trademark briefs, if you can live with a quote.
Pick it if you measure sponsor logos across markets and want unlimited users on the contract.
Skip it if you need recent buyer reviews to decide, or you're leaving YouScan over quote-only pricing.
4. Pulsar#
I rank Pulsar #4 because TRAC runs logos, video transcripts and audience segments through one search, the closest match for a team that came to YouScan for TikTok and logos together. The catch is its contract: renewal runs unless you give written notice 90 days before the term ends. Among the five logo tools, Pulsar alone shows a starting figure in public, through TrustRadius.
Features#
Logo Detection: a Vertical Image AI model in TRAC. You switch it on per search at setup, and it detects logos from the companies and industries it was trained on, so ask whether yours is in that set.
Image tags and image text: filter a dataset by objects, scenes and text inside images.
Video transcripts: TRAC transcribes video from X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook in 16 languages, so a spoken brand name becomes a searchable mention.
Audience segmentation: community detection that groups the people who post about you.
Unlimited logins and searches on the TRAC starter package.

Pricing#
TRAC starter package: $1,200 for 150,000 mentions, priced on mentions with unlimited logins, on TrustRadius. The billing period isn't stated.
Larger plans: quote, set by seats, data volume, sources and languages.
Terms: 100% of fees invoiced on or before the start date and each renewal, auto-renewal unless you give written notice 90 days before the term ends, and renewal increases capped at 10%.
Overage: £0.00625 per mention over your limit.
The 90-day notice is the number I'd circle. YouScan renews by notice; Pulsar renews unless you act a full quarter early. The Pulsar review (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/pulsar-review) goes deeper on the terms.
Trade-offs#
Pros:
Logos and video speech in one search, the closest match to YouScan's visual and audio work.
A starting figure in public before a sales call.
A 10% cap on renewal increases, written into the terms.
Cons:
90 days' notice to leave.
Logo detection limited to trained brands.
A Boolean learning curve, which 2026 reviewers repeat below.
Few reviews outside G2.
What users say#
Pulsar holds 4.3 from 105 reviews on G2. Gartner Peer Insights shows 4 ratings, and TrustRadius and Capterra UK show 1 review each.

The agency user. A marketing and advertising user finds it "quite complex" for anyone "new or rusty" (G2, Mar 25, 2026 (https://www.g2.com/products/pulsar-platform/reviews)).

The learning-curve complaint holds up: it shows up in 3 of the 2026 reviews. The two most critical reviews are older than 12 months, and 100 of the 105 G2 ratings sit at 4 or 5 stars, so I don't weigh them heavily. No reviewer I read comments on logo detection, so I'd test your own logo in the demo. G2 has no per-review links, so each Pulsar story points to the G2 reviews page.
Summary#
The logo and video pick for insight teams that can commit a year and diarize the notice date.
Pick it if you need logos, spoken mentions and audience groups in one search, and your logo sits in Pulsar's trained set.
Skip it if you can't give notice 90 days before the term ends.
5. Meltwater#
I rank Meltwater #5 because it pairs press coverage with logo detection in Explore+, so a brief that mixes PR clippings and brand logos lives in one account. The trade: logo work sits in an enterprise layer on top of the quote, and Meltwater shows no detail on which sources its logo detection covers.
Features#
Explore+: Meltwater's enterprise analytics layer, with "Logo detection and computer vision for visual content analysis" and speech-to-text for video and audio. Ask in the demo which sources its logo detection reads.
Media monitoring: news, print and broadcast next to social.
Media contacts and distribution: press contacts and release distribution, which YouScan doesn't offer.

Pricing#
Meltwater sells every plan through a quote, and logo detection is part of Explore+, so price that layer in writing. Buyer reviews below describe auto-renewal unless you give notice ahead of the term end, and one buyer learned that leaving required cancellation 3 months ahead. The Meltwater alternatives (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/meltwater-alternatives) post covers the contract in detail.
Trade-offs#
Pros:
Logo detection and press coverage from one vendor.
PR and listening in one account.
Speech-to-text for video in Explore+.
Cons:
Logo search tied to Explore+, an extra layer on the quote.
Renewal complaints that span 2019 to 2025.
Value for money at 3.4 on Capterra, its lowest sub-score.

The seat cost. Dan L. finds it expensive by seats and tools (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Aug 16, 2024 (https://www.capterra.com/p/123153/Meltwater/reviews/)).
The renewal complaints repeat across 2019, 2023, 2024 and 2025, and I trust the pattern, though only Rishikesh M. writes inside the last 12 months. No reviewer I read comments on Meltwater's logo search, so I'd ask for a logo test on your own brand before Explore+ goes on the quote.
Summary#
The logo pick for PR teams who need press coverage and logo detection from one vendor.
Pick it if your brief mixes news clippings with logo tracking, and you'll price Explore+ in writing.
Skip it if your logo work lives on TikTok and Instagram, or if a renewal clause has burned you before.
6. Sprinklr#
I rank Sprinklr #6 because you buy a whole platform to get visual listening: care, publishing and dashboards come in the same contract. In exchange: no price without sales, and under the Master Services Agreement fees are payable in advance and non-cancelable unless your Order Form sets other terms.

Source: Sprinklr homepage, captured Oct 16, 2026
Features#
Visual listening in Sprinklr Insights: Chris H. uses it to find posts with logos or other brand assets.
An agent inbox for care teams, scored for sentiment.
Publishing and governance for teams across countries.
Dashboards for live reporting.
Pricing#
Sprinklr sells by quote through a demo request, and Self-Serve is discontinued. Under the Master Services Agreement, fees are payable in advance and non-cancelable unless your Order Form sets other terms. I'd write the exit terms into the Order Form before anything else.

The Sprinklr review (https://www.communitytracker.ai/blog/sprinklr-review) covers the contract terms.
Trade-offs#
Pros:
Visual listening, care and publishing on one contract.
Dashboards that 2026 reviewers credit.
Cons:
A price you only get from sales.
Fees paid in advance, non-cancelable by default.
A long implementation, which a 2026 reviewer names.
Overkill if logos are the only gap.

Chris H. is the one reviewer I found who describes Sprinklr's logo search, and he praises it and faults the price in the same review. One review is not enough for the feature you care about, so get a visual listening trial written into the Order Form talks.
Summary#
The logo pick for enterprises that also need care and publishing.
Pick it if you're replacing three tools, not one, and your procurement team writes the Order Form.
Skip it if logo search is the only thing YouScan gives you that you'd miss.
FAQ#
Which YouScan alternative finds logos in images?#
Brandwatch, Lumen by Talkwalker, Pulsar, Meltwater and Sprinklr all detect logos, and all five sell that through a quote or a package. CommunityTracker.ai doesn't read images.
Is there a cheaper YouScan alternative for text listening?#
Yes. CommunityTracker.ai Pro costs $99 a month billed monthly, against $499 a month billed annually for YouScan Starter. It covers communities such as Reddit, Hacker News and GitHub, and it doesn't read logos.
Can I downgrade or get a refund from YouScan?#
No to both under the Terms of Service effective Sep 30, 2026. Fees are non-refundable, and you can't move to fewer topics during the term. EU consumers keep a 14-day statutory cooling-off right.
Does YouScan Starter include logo recognition?#
No. Starter's 3 topics are text-based search queries. Collection by image content sits in the Unlimited plans, along with Visual Insights.
Which alternative keeps unlimited users?#
Lumen by Talkwalker on every plan, and Pulsar's TRAC starter package with unlimited logins. Brandwatch, Meltwater and Sprinklr set users in the quote.
When should I start a switch?#
Count back from your YouScan term end. YouScan renews after it sends notice, so start trials when that notice arrives at the latest, and earlier if your new tool needs 90 days' notice of its own, as Pulsar's does.
Who Should Switch#
Teams whose topics are brand names, rivals and category terms. Starter's 3 text topics cost $5,988 a year, and CommunityTracker Pro gives 10 keywords for $1,188.
Starter users who hit the 5,000-mention cap per topic. Francisco M. watched it drop from 10,000, and CommunityTracker Pro has no mention cap.
Agencies that merge projects to fit the query limit. Valdir U.'s complaint points to a fixed query cap, and Pulsar's starter package prices on mentions with unlimited searches.
Teams whose brand shows up in video speech. Valentina R.'s logo search stops at the cover frame, and Pulsar transcribes spoken mentions in video, so a brand name said out loud still reaches you.
Who Should Stay#
Teams on a quoted YouScan plan whose logo work runs well. Moa W. and Leoné V. built client work on it, and a switch means a new quote and new logo setup.
Teams that value unlimited users and Insights Copilot. Lumen and Pulsar match the users part among the logo tools, and both sell through a quote or package.
Teams mid-term. The no-refund, no-downgrade terms mean you pay the rest of the term either way, so plan the move for the last quarter.
Teams with a TikTok-first brief. Jack F.'s firm subscribed for TikTok data, and George L. names missing TikTok as Brandwatch's largest gap.
How to Decide, by Situation#
If your brief has no logo search, pick CommunityTracker Pro, because it covers your text topics for $99 a month, billed monthly.
If you need logos plus a search archive to 2008, pick Brandwatch, and ask in writing whether the image module is in your quote.
If sponsor logos and unlimited users both matter, pick Lumen by Talkwalker, and read the renewal clause, since a 2026 buyer faced a 25% increase request.
If you need logos and spoken mentions in video in one search, pick Pulsar, and set a reminder 90 days before your term ends.
If press coverage matters as much as logos, pick Meltwater, and price Explore+ before you sign.
If you're replacing care, publishing and listening at once, pick Sprinklr, and write the cancel terms into the Order Form.
If you can't tell yet, run CommunityTracker Free next to YouScan for two weeks, and count how many of the mentions you acted on needed an image to find.
The budget pick: CommunityTracker.ai Pro, $99 a month for a text brief, cancel anytime.
The upgrade pick: Pulsar, for teams that need logos and video in one search and can commit to its notice period.
