7 Talkwalker Alternatives I Compared in 2026 (After Lumen)

On Jun 24, 2026, Hootsuite renamed Talkwalker to Lumen by Talkwalker in its Social OS announcement, two years after it agreed to buy the company on Apr 8, 2024 (GlobeNewswire). If you pay for Talkwalker today, the logo search and the 150 million sources still work, but the brand, the roadmap and the sales team now sit under a social media management company.

That leaves you with questions a demo won't settle. Will Lumen stay a product you can buy on its own, or drift into a Hootsuite bundle? Will the renewal letter carry the 25% rise one 2026 buyer received? And if you leave, which tool reads logos in images the way Talkwalker does, at a price you can see?

My view: price the image recognition and the renewal terms before you compare source counts. Those two lines decide how far a rival's quote lands from your Talkwalker bill.

This post ranks 7 tools on visual listening, price, renewal terms and what dated reviews report, then maps who should switch and who should stay.

TL;DR: 7 Talkwalker Alternatives, Ranked for Enterprise Listening Buyers#

1. CommunityTracker.ai: for teams whose Talkwalker reports keep pointing at Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News, GitHub and Slack threads. Free, then $39, $99 or $199 a month per team.

2. Mentionlytics: for teams that want social, news and web listening with a public price. AI Image Recognition comes with Business, at $624 a month billed yearly.

3. YouScan: for visual insight teams. Starter costs $499 a month billed annually with unlimited users; logo detection sits on the quote-only Unlimited plans.

4. Pulsar: for research teams that want logos, image text and video transcripts in one search, with renewal rises capped at 10%. Quote only.

5. Brandwatch: for analysts who need an archive back to 2008 and image analysis next to text. Quote only.

6. Meltwater: for PR teams that want press clippings and logo detection from one vendor. Quote only.

7. Sprinklr: for enterprises that want visual listening, customer care and publishing on one contract. Quote only.

Why Teams Look Past Talkwalker#

Talkwalker built its name on breadth and on finding logos in photos with no caption. The reasons buyers look around in 2026 come from the ownership change, the quote-only price and a review record that has gone quiet.

What the ratings show#

  • Capterra: 4.4 from 24 reviews. The newest one dates from Feb 3, 2025, so every Capterra review is older than 12 months (checked Oct 16, 2026) (Capterra).

  • TrustRadius: 8.1 from 45 ratings (checked Oct 16, 2026) (TrustRadius).

  • Trustpilot: 2.6 from 4 reviews, 3 of them posted in the last 12 months (checked Oct 16, 2026) (Trustpilot).

Source: Capterra Lumen by Talkwalker reviews, sorted by most recent, captured Oct 16, 2026

None of the 24 Capterra reviews uses the Lumen name. If you want to know how the product behaves after the rename, the review sites can't tell you yet.

Is Talkwalker still sold on its own?#

Yes, as of Oct 16, 2026. The dates:

  • Apr 8, 2024: Hootsuite announced it would acquire Talkwalker, with closing expected in Q2 2024.

  • Jun 24, 2026: Hootsuite launched its Social OS and renamed the product Lumen by Talkwalker. The release states that each product "stands alone".

  • Oct 16, 2026: the Talkwalker site still sells three standalone plans, Core, Analyze and Business. Each one is a custom quote with unlimited users, onboarding and regional support.

Hootsuite also folds Lumen into its own range. Enterprise customers get listening powered by Lumen, and Hootsuite plans carry a lighter version called Lumen Lite. So you can buy Lumen directly or meet it inside a Hootsuite contract. What I can't confirm is how long the standalone route lasts, because neither company has published an end date or a guarantee.

What the plans and terms do#

  • Core, Analyze, Business: custom quote, no public price.

  • Users: unlimited on every plan.

  • Data: 150 million sources, 30+ platforms, 187 languages and 196 countries.

  • AI: Wisdom for spike detection and summaries, an AI Agent and LLM Insights for tracking what AI answers say about your brand.

  • Image recognition: finds logos in photos with no text mention, flags misuse and counts visual mentions toward sponsorship value. You set the logos up with Talkwalker first.

  • Renewal: one 2026 buyer received a request for a 25% rise (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026).

For you, the quote model means you compare a known rival price against an unknown Lumen price. Ask for the renewal cap in writing before you sign or renew.

Thirteen stories from the reviews#

Liked:

  • The social listening lead. Karan R., at a market research firm, rates the conversation analytics "outstanding" (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Feb 3, 2025).

  • The political consultant. Mustafa F. tracked reactions to a candidate and "could foresee the political issues before they happened" (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Mar 18, 2022).

  • The analyst who slices data. A verified market research analyst values breakdowns "down to region, language, device" (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Jul 1, 2022).

  • The agency manager who calls support. Guido N. reaches help by mail, phone or meeting (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Dec 5, 2020).

  • The agency analyst with training. Maria B. writes that after a demo and training "the sky is the limit" for report building (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Jul 2019).

  • The research director. A verified R&D director at an 11 to 50 person firm rates it 9 out of 10 and credits the Custom Filters, Custom Tags and advanced Boolean (older than 12 months) (TrustRadius, Feb 23, 2022).

Disliked:

  • The renewal request. Findahobby got asked for "a 25% price increase" (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026).

  • The inbox full of alerts. Ryan S received more alerts than he wanted and found no route to support outside the account (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026).

  • The lead, on cost. Karan R. finds "The pricing module, seems expensive" (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Feb 3, 2025).

  • The Meta gap. Guido N. rates Facebook and Instagram listening "very limited" because of API limits (older than 12 months) (Capterra, Dec 5, 2020).

  • The LinkedIn gap. Vishal Wadkar, a digital marketing manager at Capgemini, misses "LinkedIn and Facebook real time monitoring" (older than 12 months) (TrustRadius, Jan 18, 2020).

  • The budget line. Enes Y., at a 2 to 10 person IT firm, calls it "a very expensive app" for anyone without a budget (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Jun 2022).

  • The free-data comparison. TT, in Luxembourg, found "Clunky UX and results" that free sources such as Google Trends match, and still liked the word cloud (older than 12 months) (Trustpilot, Sep 26, 2022).

Evidence note: 11 of these 13 reviews are older than 12 months, and Capterra and Software Advice share one review pool, so I cite each review once. I found no Talkwalker reviews on Gartner Peer Insights, and G2 blocked my access. The two 2026 reviews both concern money and support, so I weight the renewal complaint above the dated praise.

What practitioners post on X#

  • @XMaximunX, Jul 31, 2026: wrote to Talkwalker that a free demo "isn't what matters to me; I need to know the pricing."

  • @RilaGlobal, May 13, 2026: credits Talkwalker for "AI-driven analytics, image recognition, and tracking conversations across 150M+ sources globally."

  • @barkwoo0fjumpol, Aug 23, 2026: warns fans that Lumen "is not a reliable site to check countries with trending hashtags."

  • @jamie_marsters, Jun 25, 2026: recommends Talkwalker Alerts over Google Alerts as "prompt to the minute" and "highly customisable."

Where Talkwalker Earns Credit#

  • Logo search with sponsorship math. Visual mentions roll into sponsorship impressions, Sprinklr also tracks logos at sponsorships, but only inside a suite contract.

  • Every plan seats unlimited users. A 40-person insight team pays the same seat count as a team of 4.

  • Language and country reach. 187 languages and 196 countries.

  • A free alerts product. Talkwalker Alerts still runs for basic email monitoring.

If you measure sponsorships across markets and procurement already accepts quotes, these four points may keep you on Lumen. Who Should Stay below covers that case.

How I Evaluated These Talkwalker Alternatives#

  • Visual listening: I checked whether each tool reads logos or image text, on which plan, and whether that costs extra.

  • Prices: checked Oct 16, 2026. Where a vendor sells only by quote, I give the one public data point I found and flag it.

  • Terms: notice periods, renewal caps and refund rules, checked the same day.

  • Reviews: at least 10 dated reviews per paid tool from Software Advice, Capterra, G2, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights and Trustpilot. I flag any review dated before Oct 16, 2025.

  • X posts: posted after Oct 16, 2025, named by handle and day.

1. CommunityTracker.ai#

CommunityTracker.ai covers the slice of a Talkwalker report that keeps landing in communities: Reddit threads, LinkedIn comments, Hacker News, GitHub issues and Slack groups. You see a price, you pay monthly and one plan seats the whole team.

Features#

CommunityTracker ranks #1 for one job: pulling buyer questions out of community threads, which a 150-million-source feed buries under news and social noise. Keep a visual tool if you track logos.

  • Platforms by plan: Reddit on Free. Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News and GitHub on Starter. Slack and the rest of the list from Pro.

  • Intent scoring on Pro: AI ranks threads where someone asks for a product like yours above general chatter.

  • Response Generator: writes a draft reply that you edit and post yourself.

  • Warm emails: 100 a month on Starter, no cap from Pro.

  • Share of Voice from Pro: your share of community talk against rivals you name, with export on Advanced.

  • AI Visibility on Advanced: tracks how ChatGPT and Perplexity describe you, close to what Lumen's LLM Insights covers.

Pricing#

Each tier, checked Oct 16, 2026 (CommunityTracker pricing):

  • Free: one Reddit keyword at no cost.

  • Starter: $39 a month for 4 keywords and 5,000 mentions.

  • Pro: $99 a month for 10 keywords and no mention cap.

  • Advanced: $199 a month for 20 keywords and AI Visibility.

Source: CommunityTracker pricing page, plans at $0, $39, $99 and $199 a month, captured Oct 16, 2026

You pay by the month with no contract. The team arranges annual billing on request.

Pros#

  • A visible price. Advanced costs $2,388 a year, a number you can put in a budget line before any call.

  • No seat math. Every plan covers the team, like Talkwalker's unlimited users.

  • No renewal letter. Monthly billing means no notice window to miss.

  • A Free plan to test on your own brand before you pay.

Cons#

Ranked by the cost to a Talkwalker buyer:

1. No logo recognition. CommunityTracker reads text only, so sponsorship logo work stays with a visual tool.

2. Partial news and web coverage means press pickups and broadcast need a second source.

3. Every plan gets alerts once a day; Slack delivery opens on Pro. A morning thread arrives in the next day's batch.

4. No publisher or inbox, so you reply inside each community.

5. 0 reviews. Trustpilot, G2, Capterra and Software Advice show none (checked Oct 16, 2026).

Source: CommunityTracker pricing page, platform comparison, captured Oct 16, 2026

What users like#

No reviews exist yet on the sites I checked. Point the Free plan at your brand for a week and judge the threads it finds.

What users dislike#

No reviews exist yet, so con 5 stands as written.

Summary#

My pick when your Talkwalker dashboards keep sending you to community threads you then read by hand.

  • Pick it if buyers and critics talk about you on Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News, GitHub or Slack, and you want that feed for $99 a month for the team.

  • Skip it if logo detection or broadcast monitoring is the reason you bought Talkwalker.

For more context, read the guide to AI social listening tools and the Talkwalker review.

2. Mentionlytics#

Mentionlytics gives you social, news and web in one feed with prices on the site, and it adds image reading on its Business tier. For a Talkwalker team that wants to stop negotiating, it is the shortest path to a signed order.

Features#

Mentionlytics ranks #2 because it is the cheapest tool here with both news coverage and image reading, and you can buy it with a card.

  • Keyword rules by tier: 3 on Basic, 10 on Essential, 15 on Advanced, 25 on Pro.

  • Refresh speed: every 12 hours on Basic, every 6 hours on Essential, continuous from Advanced.

  • Seats: Basic holds 2, Essential holds 10, and Advanced and above hold any number.

  • AI Image Recognition: ticked on Business only among the five priced tiers. Basic, Essential, Advanced and Pro go without it.

  • An API, which one 2026 reviewer used to pipe data into his own app.

Pricing#

Prices as of Oct 16, 2026:

  • Basic: $59 a month monthly or $49 yearly, for 5,000 mentions.

  • Essential: $169 monthly or $141 yearly, for 15,000 mentions.

  • Advanced: $299 monthly or $249 yearly, for 50,000 mentions.

  • Pro: $499 monthly or $416 yearly, for 100,000 mentions.

  • Business: $624 a month billed yearly.

  • Enterprise: from $1,083 a month billed yearly.

Source: Mentionlytics pricing page, monthly billing, Basic to Pro, captured Oct 16, 2026

When you hit the quota, collection pauses until the next cycle. From Advanced up, 10,000 extra mentions cost $10. Yearly plans carry a full refund in the first 14 days and a pro rata refund from day 14 to day 30. Monthly plans get no refund for the period you're in. The Mentionlytics review walks through each tier.

Pros#

  • Business at $7,488 a year on yearly billing, with image reading and a price you see up front.

  • News, web and social in one feed.

  • Unlimited users from Advanced, a match for Talkwalker's seat policy.

  • A refund window on yearly plans.

Cons#

1. Image reading starts on Business, the second most expensive tier.

2. A hard quota. Collection stops when you run out.

3. Quota and noise complaints in 4 reviews from 2023 and 2024.

4. No Line or WeChat sources, per a 2024 reviewer.

What users like#

  • Sean J., at a firm of 50 or fewer, connected Mentionlytics to an app of his own and rates the price "very reasonable" (G2, Oct 2, 2026).

  • Praise U. switched from Meltwater because of cost and needed little help to start (G2, Sep 17, 2026).

  • Eleftherios Xenarios found enterprise tools "way out of our budget" and gets support answers within a day (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026).

  • Findahobby titled a review "One third the price of Meltwater with better features." (Trustpilot, Apr 21, 2026).

  • Melis C., at a printing group, shows leadership regional results through share of voice (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Jul 2024).

  • Andrea, in business development in Germany, renewed for over 2 years because of the support staff (older than 12 months) (Capterra UK, Mar 22, 2023).

Source: Trustpilot review of Mentionlytics by Findahobby, captured Oct 16, 2026

What users dislike#

  • Sean J. finds Telegram support "very limiting" and wants his own account included (G2, Oct 2, 2026).

  • Melis C. names "Irrelevant matches" and the absence of Line and WeChat (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Jul 2024).

  • Andrea's team runs out of mentions and sees duplicates (older than 12 months) (Capterra UK, Mar 22, 2023).

  • Daniel K., in telecom, calls it "Kind of slow" with limits that "feel low" (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Feb 2023).

  • Ivette S., at a broadcaster, wrote in Spanish that constant refresh needs a plan at 4 times the Basic price (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Aug 2023).

  • Jobst E., a lawyer, counted "too many add-ons and functionality tiers" (older than 12 months) (Software Advice, Feb 2023).

Evidence note: the 2026 reviews praise price and support; the complaints about quotas and noise date from 2023 and 2024. No reviewer I read describes the image reading, so test it on your own logo before you pay for Business.

Summary#

The pick for a Talkwalker team that wants news, web, social and image reading without a sales cycle.

  • Pick it if a public price matters more to you than a 150-million-source claim, and Business fits your budget.

  • Skip it if sponsorship logo measurement across video is the core of your brief.

3. YouScan#

YouScan is the visual listening specialist on this list. Its Visual Insights reads objects, scenes, text and logos in images, and Starter seats unlimited users.

Features#

YouScan ranks #3 because its image AI matches Talkwalker's core skill, and its Starter plan carries a published price. Logo detection itself sits on the quote-only plans, which keeps it below Mentionlytics.

  • Visual Insights: reads objects, scenes, activities and text inside images.

  • Logo detection: on the Unlimited plans, which you price through sales.

  • Insights Copilot: an AI assistant that answers questions about your mentions.

  • TikTok data, the reason Jack F.'s research firm signed up in 2026.

  • Seats: unlimited on Starter. On the Unlimited plans, user access rights follow your contract.

Source: YouScan pricing page, captured Oct 16, 2026

Pricing#

Prices as of Oct 16, 2026:

  • Starter: $499 a month billed annually, with 3 topics, up to 15,000 mentions a month and unlimited users.

  • Unlimited plans: quote, with logo detection, Visual Insights and Audience Insights.

Pros#

  • Image AI close to Talkwalker's, built for visual brand work.

  • No seat cap on Starter.

  • A Starter price you can read before a call.

  • Support that 2026 reviewers rate high.

Cons#

1. Logo detection on quote-only plans, so the Talkwalker feature you need most has no public price.

2. Query limits on all plans, per a 2026 agency reviewer.

3. A cut to the Starter mention cap, from 10,000 to 5,000 per topic.

4. Logo reading on video covers only the cover image, per a 2026 reviewer.

What users like#

YouScan holds 4.9 from 125 reviews on Software Advice (checked Oct 16, 2026).

Source: Software Advice review of YouScan by Moa W., captured Oct 16, 2026

What users dislike#

Source: Software Advice review of YouScan by Francisco M., captured Oct 16, 2026

Evidence note: 13 of these 14 reviews fall inside the last 12 months, the freshest record of any tool here. Moa W. and Valentina R. describe the logo feature directly, one for and one against, so you get a balanced view on the job Talkwalker buyers care about.

Summary#

The visual specialist for teams that want Talkwalker's image skill with fresher reviews.

  • Pick it if image and TikTok insight drive your reports and you accept an annual plan.

  • Skip it if you need logo detection at a public price or monthly billing.

4. Pulsar#

Pulsar runs audience research with image and video analysis on top. Its TRAC product detects logos, reads image text and transcribes video, and its contract terms are the clearest in the enterprise group.

Features#

Pulsar ranks #4 because it matches Talkwalker on visual work and writes a 10% renewal cap into its terms. Like Talkwalker, it sells by quote.

  • Logo Detection: a Vertical Image AI model in TRAC, switched on per search. It recognises logos from the brands and sectors it has been trained on, so confirm yours is in that set.

  • Image tags and image text: filter results by objects, scenes and words inside images.

  • Video transcripts: spoken words in video from X, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook become searchable, in 16 languages.

  • Audience segmentation: groups the communities that talk about you.

Source: Pulsar TRAC image analysis page, captured Oct 16, 2026

Pricing#

As of Oct 16, 2026:

  • Every TRAC plan: quote. Pulsar publishes no tier list and has no self-serve checkout; seats, data volume, sources, languages and support set the price.

  • Public figures: Pulsar's UK G-Cloud listing shows £8,000 a unit a year, and a TrustRadius listing shows a $1,200 package for 150,000 mentions. Neither appears on Pulsar's own site, so treat both as anchors, not a rate card.

  • Terms: fees invoiced in full before each term, auto-renewal unless you give written notice 90 days before the end, and renewal increases capped at 10%.

  • Overage: £0.00625 per mention above your limit.

The Pulsar review walks through the notice clause.

Pros#

  • Logos, image text and spoken mentions in one search.

  • A 10% renewal cap in writing, against a 25% rise reported at Talkwalker.

  • A UK government listing at £8,000 a unit a year, a reference point for your negotiation.

Cons#

1. 90 days' notice to stop renewal.

2. A trained logo set, so a niche brand may not be covered.

3. Ramp-up time: 2 reviewers in 2026 had to teach themselves the query logic.

4. Conversation limits that forced one 2026 user to drop topics.

What users like#

  • An apparel enterprise user relies on it to "follow and identify emerging trends" (G2, Jul 23, 2026).

  • Marie B. values "all insights from multiple sources in one place" (G2, Jul 31, 2026).

  • Kevin M. credits the query builder for clean data "with source coverage well beyond the obvious networks" (G2, Jun 8, 2026).

  • Francesca B. praises the number of mentions caught on Instagram and TikTok (G2, Jul 22, 2026).

  • A Gartner reviewer has found no client or category "where the tool was not useful" (Gartner Peer Insights, Sep 8, 2026).

Source: G2 Pulsar summary, captured Oct 16, 2026

What users dislike#

  • Kevin M. names "the learning curve" as the main drawback (G2, Jun 8, 2026).

  • A marketing user finds it "quite complex" for anyone "new or rusty" (G2, Mar 25, 2026).

  • ANGY P. removed World Cup and Colombian politics topics from a client plan because of conversation limits (G2, Jul 24, 2026).

  • Indonesian prepositions show up as topics for Yohana Gabriella Nanda K. (G2, Mar 27, 2026).

  • A software reviewer runs into "a bug or an issue" each session (older than 12 months) (G2, Jun 11, 2025).

  • zineb a. lost PhD data and waited 4 months on support (older than 12 months) (G2, Jun 12, 2024).

Evidence note: 9 of 11 reviews come from 2026. None of them describes Logo Detection, so the visual claims rest on Pulsar's product material checked Oct 16, 2026.

Summary#

The research pick with the most buyer-friendly renewal clause in the enterprise tier.

  • Pick it if you want logos, image text and video speech together, and your logo sits in Pulsar's trained set.

  • Skip it if a 90-day notice window is a risk your team can't track.

5. Brandwatch#

Brandwatch pairs Consumer Research, its search and analysis product, with image analysis and an archive back to 2008. It is the closest like-for-like swap for a Talkwalker analyst team, with the same quote-and-contract buying.

Features#

Brandwatch ranks #5 because it matches Talkwalker on depth but not on price clarity, and the image module needs a separate request.

  • Image analysis: detects logos, objects, scenes and actions.

  • Logo filter: query a logo, a keyword or both. You ask your account manager to switch the image module on.

  • Archive: posts back to 2008, for year-on-year sponsorship baselines.

  • Iris: AI summaries of query results.

  • Custom classifiers: sort mentions by your own categories.

Source: Brandwatch Consumer Research page, captured Oct 16, 2026

Pricing#

  • All plans: quote.

  • One data point: a Trustpilot buyer paid $12,000 a year for 3 users on a 2-year deal (Trustpilot, Dec 30, 2025).

  • Seats: fixed by your quote; I found no unlimited tier.

Terms reflect Oct 16, 2026, and the Brandwatch review covers the contract.

Pros#

  • Logo and scene detection next to text research.

  • History to 2008.

  • Segments and benchmarks that 2026 reviewers credit.

Cons#

1. The image module by request, so it may not appear in your first quote.

2. Auto-renewal complaints in 2025 and 2026.

3. Extra cost per feature, per a buyer in late 2025.

4. Complexity, per a 2026 reviewer.

5. Seat limits in the one public price, 3 users.

What users like#

On Oct 16, 2026, Software Advice showed Brandwatch at 4.2 across 255 reviews, and Trustpilot showed 2.0 across 21.

What users dislike#

Source: Trustpilot review of Brandwatch by Maddie, captured Oct 16, 2026

Evidence note: no reviewer I read describes the logo filter. The renewal stories repeat across 2025 and 2026, the same pattern as the Talkwalker price complaint, so moving here doesn't escape contract risk. I left out Trustpilot reviews about scam letters that borrow the Brandwatch name.

Summary#

The analyst's swap when you want Talkwalker's depth plus a longer archive.

  • Pick it if you need historical baselines and image analysis in one research tool, and legal reads every renewal clause.

  • Skip it if you're leaving Talkwalker to escape quotes and annual terms.

6. Meltwater#

Meltwater combines press monitoring, media contacts and social listening, with logo detection in its Explore+ layer. If your Talkwalker reports go to a PR team, it puts clippings and logos under one vendor.

Features#

Meltwater ranks #6 because its logo work lives in an add-on layer I could confirm little about, and its contract record is the longest list of complaints here.

  • Explore+: logo detection and computer vision for visual content, plus speech-to-text for video and audio. I found no detail on which sources the logo detection covers.

  • Press coverage: print, broadcast and online news sit beside social data.

  • Media contacts and distribution: a press database and release sending.

Source: Meltwater Explore+ page, captured Oct 16, 2026

Pricing#

  • All plans: quote, on an annual contract.

  • Logo detection: part of Explore+, so get that line priced in writing.

  • Notice: reviewers report auto-renewal with notice windows of 60 to 90 days.

Contract notes reflect Oct 16, 2026, and the Meltwater alternatives post covers the contract in detail.

Pros#

  • Press and logos from one vendor.

  • A media contact database, which Talkwalker doesn't sell.

  • Speech-to-text for broadcast and video.

Cons#

1. Logo detection in Explore+, an extra line on the quote.

2. Contract complaints stretch across seven years of reviews.

3. A 3.4 value score on Software Advice, below its other ratings.

4. Slow dashboards and trial-and-error queries, per a 2026 reviewer.

What users dislike#

Evidence note: only Rishikesh M.'s review sits inside the last 12 months, and no reviewer comments on logo detection. The renewal pattern spans 2021 to 2025, so I believe it, but I have no 2026 renewal story.

Summary#

The PR team's pick when clippings and logos need to land in one report.

  • Pick it if your Talkwalker use leans on news and broadcast, and you will price Explore+ in writing.

  • Skip it if a renewal clause has caught you before, or your logo work sits on Instagram and TikTok.

7. Sprinklr#

Sprinklr sells logo detection as one part of a customer experience suite with care, publishing and governance. For a Talkwalker buyer it is the biggest platform and the firmest contract.

Features#

Sprinklr ranks #7 because you buy a suite to get a feature, and its terms leave the least room to exit.

  • Visual Insights in Sprinklr Insights: detects your logo across 30+ social and digital channels plus news, print and broadcast, in images, GIFs and video.

  • Logo training: Sprinklr trains and deploys a new logo within 4 to 5 business days of your request.

  • Sponsorship and misuse alerts: tracks logo visibility at events and sponsorships and flags counterfeit or unauthorized use.

  • A care inbox with sentiment scoring.

  • Publishing and governance across country teams.

  • Live dashboards.

Pricing#

  • All plans: quote through a demo request. Self-Serve is discontinued.

  • Terms: under the Master Services Agreement, fees are paid in advance and can't be canceled unless your Order Form sets other terms (checked Oct 16, 2026).

See the Sprinklr review, which covers the contract.

Pros#

  • One contract for visual listening, publishing and care.

  • Dashboards that 2026 reviewers praise.

  • Approvals for non-users by email, for country teams.

Cons#

1. No public price.

2. Non-cancelable fees by default.

3. An interface one 2026 public sector reviewer rates "not user-friendly".

4. A long implementation.

5. More platform than you need if logos are the gap.

What users like#

On Oct 16, 2026, Capterra rated Sprinklr 4.2 across 94 reviews; TrustRadius gave Sprinklr Social 8.8 across 175 and Sprinklr Insights 7.5 across 80.

What users dislike#

Evidence note: only one reviewer here, Chris H., writes about visual listening at all, and the same review that praises it also faults the cost. Ask for a visual listening trial in the Order Form talks.

Summary#

The suite pick when you retire 3 tools on one contract.

  • Pick it if you want to retire Talkwalker plus a care tool and a publisher, and procurement writes the Order Form.

  • Skip it if image recognition is the only Talkwalker feature you'd miss.

FAQ#

Is Talkwalker still sold as a standalone product?#

Yes. On Oct 16, 2026, Lumen by Talkwalker still sells Core, Analyze and Business plans on its own site, each by quote with unlimited users. Hootsuite also bundles Lumen listening into its Enterprise offer and a Lumen Lite version into its plans.

When did Hootsuite buy Talkwalker?#

Hootsuite announced the deal on Apr 8, 2024 and expected it to close in Q2 2024. The rename to Lumen by Talkwalker came on Jun 24, 2026.

Which Talkwalker alternative reads logos at a public price?#

Mentionlytics, on Business at $624 a month billed yearly. Pulsar, YouScan, Brandwatch, Meltwater and Sprinklr price logo work by quote.

Which alternative caps renewal increases?#

CommunityTracker and Mentionlytics bill monthly if you choose. Among annual contracts, Pulsar caps renewal increases at 10%.

Does CommunityTracker replace Talkwalker?#

It replaces the community listening part, not image recognition or broadcast monitoring.

Is Talkwalker Alerts still free?#

Yes. The free alerts product still runs, and @jamie_marsters recommended it over Google Alerts on Jun 25, 2026.

Who Should Switch#

  • Teams facing a renewal rise. Pulsar's 10% cap and the monthly plans from CommunityTracker and Mentionlytics remove the surprise.

  • Teams whose Talkwalker usage shrank to community threads. CommunityTracker Pro at $1,188 a year covers that job.

  • Visual teams that want recent reviews. YouScan's 2026 record on logos and images is the freshest on this list.

  • Buyers who want to see a price. Mentionlytics publishes every self-serve tier.

Who Should Stay#

  • Sponsorship teams that measure logo value across markets. Lumen ties visual mentions to sponsorship impressions in one report.

  • Large teams that lean on unlimited users. Talkwalker seats everyone on every plan, and Brandwatch's one public price covers 3 users.

  • Hootsuite Enterprise customers. Lumen listening comes with the contract, so a separate tool adds cost.

How to Decide, by Situation#

  • If your buyers ask for products in Reddit, LinkedIn or Hacker News, pick CommunityTracker Pro, at $99 a month for the team.

  • If you need news, web, social and image reading with a card, pick Mentionlytics Business.

  • If images and TikTok drive your insight reports, pick YouScan and price the Unlimited plan for logos.

  • If you want logos, image text and video speech with a renewal cap, pick Pulsar.

  • If you need an archive to 2008 and research depth, pick Brandwatch and ask for the image module in the first quote.

  • If press clippings matter as much as logos, pick Meltwater and price Explore+ in writing.

  • If you are replacing listening, care and publishing together, pick Sprinklr.

  • If sponsorship logo measurement is your core job, stay on Lumen and get the renewal cap in writing.
